South Hill Neighborhood
It is no surprise that the South Hill Neighborhood is considered to be among the more prestigious residential areas in Bellingham. Its slopes offer priceless views of Bellingham Bay. Many of the homes found here were built decades ago by well to do merchants, physicians, and other prominent citizens. Due to its location South Hill is a favorite of university professors.
Along the bay many enjoy Boulevard Park. Here you find popular jogging trails, recreational areas, and a view of the Fourth of July Fireworks.
Residents here can do their grocery shopping at the Fairhaven Red Apple Market. The Historic Fairhaven District also offers a variety of elegant shops and restaurants. South Hill is also close to downtown Bellingham which offers several mid sized stores and restaurants.
Many neighborhood kids enjoy the walk to Lowell Elementary School. Fairhaven Middle School and Sehome High School are also relatively close.
